API reference

Get a short-lived file download URL

GET/v1/files/{file_id}/download-url

Historical files for the same account and key. Valid keys with exhausted quota are allowed; revoked/expired keys are still rejected. Downloads require ready; deletion while referenced returns 409. retry only retries saving the original result, not generation. Ordinary APIs use day-based retention, persistent tasks protect references, and expires_at=0 means no fixed expiration.

Playback and downloads

Read the file status before requesting a short-lived download URL. Getting a URL cannot make a file available before storage is ready. Send the original API key only to GloopAPI; do not attach it when downloading from the returned HTTPS address.

Persistent videos use short-lived object storage URLs to support native Range playback. The full GET on the ordinary video content path is a different transport from this player flow. Obtain another URL when a link expires; refreshing a link cannot recover an expired or deleted file.

Authentication and permissions

Use your current GloopAPI key. Available models, capabilities and permissions depend on its catalog and the endpoint documentation.

Authorization: Bearer $GLOOP_API_KEY
